Crocheted Ipad Cozy
Posted by Inger Carina | Filed under Crochet
The cozy is filet crocheted in white with some effect ”blobs” in bright colors. And a Apple inc. ”apple” in yellow on the back where the apple is placed on the Ipad. I added some crocheted flowers and leafs as well.
Wanted to use spring-colors so the scrap looked like candy! love it!
I used the iPad as a template and traced it on the translucent paper. Then I pinned the front and back panels so that they got exactly the template form. Sprayed with a little water and let it dry.
The apple did not ”want” to get the right shape so I had to mix sugar and water into starch and drip on. First, I pinned it so that the apple got the right shape. When sugar-water dries it becomes very hard and keep the shape for long.
The next step was to crochet double crochet(dc) around the edge. And leave holes where all the buttons and sockets are.
Then I sewed the two pieces together.
Voilá!

Knitted Tea Glass Cozy
Posted by Inger Carina | Filed under knitting
Mini project: Tea Glass Cozy.
I drink a lot of tea and like my tea hot. As you know, it is difficult to find the ultimate cup for drinking. I want a big cup but don’t like when the tea gets coold. A tall glass is best for me. Hot tea and glass is not a good combination for your hands… I knitted a little piece of ribbing in cheerful colors and voilá – it’s both practical and looks nice! :)
How to:
Double pointed needles 2-3 mm (0.79 – 1.18 inch)
Approx 44 cast on.
K2, P2 until it has the right height for jour cup, mug or glass of choice.
I love to mix and match so this is made of cotton yarn, wool yarn and pink neon colored nylon yarn. (I’m not at all orthodox with my materials. I mix natural fibers with synthetics all the time) :)

Floral USB memory stick
Posted by Inger Carina | Filed under Crochet, flowers, textile stuff that normally are not textile
A little more flowers in your life can’t hurt… can it?
Started out with a 2Gb Usb memory stick – boring boring… had to cut of a plasic bit on the end and smooth the edges with a file.
Then I crocheted tight around it in two pieces, one top & one bottom. I used embroidery yarn (Perl) multi colored green. A little bit of what I fancy = flowers. I took linnen embroidery yarn and made random tiny leafs and flowers.
Sewed them all on the crocheted USB cozy cover.
It’s working well and it nearly blends in to the floral background here on my work desk at home.
I’m in Podcast heaven

Got the iPod Touch for Christmas from my super kind mom. I’m a gadget geek and just love to read the manual of stuff like this. It has everything; surfing through Wlan, lots of GigaBites for video, movies, music and PODCASTS! I’m a fan of Sister Diane over at CraftyPod and usually I listen to her interviews while working on the computer. Now I’m a subscriber and I filled the iPod with all the episodes I’ve missed. Wonderful world of crafty goodness! (as Diane puts it). My morning walk was all to short today – I long for tomorrow morning so I can listen to an episode about 60′s & 70′s crafting. This walking and listening to PodCasts about craft is going to do wonders for my cardio :-)
Due to the big screen on the iTouch I got concerned that it would get scratchy in my bag among all the things I carry around with me. I crocheted a Brigitte Bardot-checked pink/white cover for it. Added a tiny bow. The iPod is staying in its home with a little band and a kittybutton on the back.
Now, I’m surfing over to Granny-along! Bye bye.
